Nawarddeken Academy Awarded Highly Competitive SARC Funding

Nawarddeken Academy is proud to announce that we have been successful in securing Stronger and Resilient Communities Grant (SARC) funding, an exceptional achievement given the high level of competitiveness, with only 40 projects funded out of more than 1,200 applications.

This grant will support The Daluhdaluk Project, the Parent Capacity Building component of our Early Learning Program. The project aims to empower the local daluk (women) in each of our outstations by providing education and support in key areas such as domestic and family violence awareness, fitness and nutrition, parenting, and protective behaviours.

Over the next two years, six on-Country workshops will be delivered across Mamadawerre, Manmoyi, and Kabulwarnamyo. Each workshop will be co-designed by the daluk to ensure the content reflects community priorities in health, education, and social wellbeing. Led by experienced external facilitators, The Daluhdaluk Project will aim to strengthen community connection, promote self-reliance, and contribute to Closing the Gap outcomes – supporting positive change for women, families, and future generations.
